This place is impressive. First, they have great pictures that are actual representations of what it claims to be. The packaging was nice. Hand written labels on everything by name and item. Two separte bags for hot and cold items. The containers have that nice top that you can take off or put on with one hand. Generous portions! The picture is of my leftovers. The Spicy Dragon Roll does not seem to be made with mayo. I love it this way. I added mango to the 4. Salmon Avocado Roll. The sashimi was cut geometrically it wasn't a boring slice. The fish and octopus were fresh, fresh, fresh. It smelled delicious and tasted amazing.  So glad I took a chance.

Everytime you come here the food is fresh and amazing, The sushi is well prepared, a good amount for the price point.

Also the other menu items like chicken and beef bento box are very plentiful and make for an amazing lunch or dinner. This place is A M A Z I N G.

OMG! My first time ordering from Umami for myself.  I ordered the Hibachi Shrimp and the taste is excellent. I order extra shrimp, but I didn't need to because the portion are very good for the price.  The vegetables are fresh and cooked just right. I will order from Umami Hibachi  Grill and Sushi again.

Chicken & Shrimp #1 Hibachi on this side of town! Always made to order and seasoned just right. The portions are always worth the money.

Ok first off, I have to note that everything you need to know about this place is perfectly represented in how they packed my order for pickup. A small piece of cardboard was added inside of the bag to keep the containers from knocking into each other. 

Not sold on just how much the staff fret over details? On one of the containers there was a very small hole right on the edge of one of the corners. I can almost guarantee I've received containers with chipped edges that either not noticed or assumed might have happened during delivery. Oh but these people saw that hole. They saw that hole and they fretted about whether it was acceptable to send my order out with a lid that has a hole in it.

There was a conversation, at least in one person's mind about how it just wouldn't be right to let the driver get the blame for a chipped lid, but it would be so wasteful to have to throw away a whole package for a hole that was going to be protected from inside a paper bag anyway. So this person wrote on a sticker label to acknowledge the hole so that, if I had an issue with the hole, my overblown fury would fall on the restaurant and not the dasher.

I started writing this review before I tried any of the food, so upon tasting each of the items for a more complete review -

Miso soup is really good. Most places make it saltier than I prefer but this is perfection 👌

Shrimp tempura - light crispy breading, zero sogginess while in transit.

Salmon & avocado roll - both are incredibly fresh, the rice is the perfect texture, and the sauces are, of course delicious.

A new insta-fave! 😄
