Nolas brings together Lao, Thai, Cambodian, Hmong, and Vietnamese cooking in one neighborhood kitchen in Eden Prairie, bold, diverse, and made entirely their own way.
This was a complete 180 from the previous order. The restaurant continued with their fresh vegetables but this time the meat was on point.
The Fresh Spring Rolls (2) were tightly wrapped and sturdy. These were of substantial size. They did not skimp on the shrimp/pork. It can with a dark peanut* sauce and TWO additional peanut dips.
I waited to write te review for the Tacos Asada (3) just in case. But I was pleasantly surprised with the authenticity, simplicity, and taste. The beef was quality asada, the limes and cilantro and onions and radish on the side were all fresh. I see where the 4.6 stars came from this time around.

Ordered the shrimp Fresh Spring Rolls (2) and it was really bland and not consistent in how they wrapped it. All three shrimps were to the one end. The taste wasn't good and you needed the fish sauce to make it okay. Last time it was delicious. Maybe pickle the carrots?

Where do I start? So disappointed. Pho-Beef & Meat Balls was terrible. The beef was IN the broth. Seemed boiled? Thick cuts of beef and very inconsistent, fatty and very chewy. No hosin, limes, jalapeños, very few bean sprouts and the basil was OLD and wilted. Rice noodles extremely gummy. The broth had ZERO aromatics. Almost seemed like simple beef broth and was very oily. The chicken Chicken Satay (5) was decent enough but we also ordered Fresh Spring Rolls (2) and apparently they think that about 1 ounce of peanut sauce was to share between appetizers? Haven't even tried the Mango Sticky Rice but it was very oddly packaged and smells off. I truly hate to write bad reviews but this was the WORST food we've ordered in a long LONG time. Didn't even finish it because it was that bad. I truly hope it was an off night but there was too much wrong. Ugh, Sorry.

Delicious and fresh tasting Pad Thai Noodles and Drunken Noodles. They're mild by default but the store has free chili condiments to spice it up to the liking. Portions are generous and they were very fast. I would order again!

The Crying Tiger beef was so overcooked that it was inedible. The cilantro, jalapeno, and lettuce were fresh.
The Orang Chicken with Broccolie was mostly just small clusters of batter. The lack of bite sized chicken was egregious. The broccoli was fresh but the stems were 2-inchs long, this allowed 6 stems of broccoli to consume a majority of the bowl.
The to-go bowls were of good quality and we appreciated the labeling of meals by name.
Lastly, the prices showed that there was a dicount but when you go into each item the price is suspiciously higher.
