Visiting Atlanta from Valdosta I expect highly rated restaurants (4.5+) in ATL to excel my expectations since there are so many more choices and greater competition. I also expect the quality and serving size to match the price anywhere I go. Maybe it was a bad night for Machete's on the quality, but that won't fly for the serving size. I ordered the Al Pastor tacos (3), a side of chips and salsa ($5), and a side of guacamole ($5). I chose Machete's over another taco place bc the tacos were slight cheaper. I'm afraid I made the wrong choice. At $5.45/each, I'm expecting a great taco. That was not my experience. They looked great. The portion was fine. But overall the tacos were below average. The meat was very dry and the flavor was also average for street style tacos. The salsa dish that came with chips was so small you can't fit a chip in to dip and it held enough salsa for maybe half the chips. The guacamole side was also very small and NOT made from 1 avocado as advertised (more like 1/4). Five dollars!! If they like constructive criticism and address the quality and size issues, I might give them another try if I were in the area again. Otherwise, it's not a good value for the price. We've got 2-3 taco places in little ol' Valdosta that make Machete's look like cheap fast food.

The chicken and the sauce is entirely too salty! Cannot eat it! The hibiscus juice is good

Birria Tacos are excellent I'm so happy there are finally some tasty ones to eat in the area! And the staff are very knife and very great energy. I plan to return often
