We always buy the Bistek tagalog and it comes in rectangular black plastic container which was so worth for the price of $26 + taxes + tips. But our last order, it came in a small white paper cup which was like rip off.
Taste was always amazing but the serving size was not so worth the price.

The quality at Max's has gone down the last few years. the Lumpiang Shanghai (Egg Roll) tastes old and soggy. The Beef Kare-Kare (Beef Peanut Stew) doesnt taste like how kare kare should be. it taste like a bland watery beef curry (it's a watery orangey stew, if you are lucky, you can find a few pieces of beef meat). very disappointing. Not worth the $$$

The Max's Crispy Pata (Crispy Pork Hock) is not an actual crispy pata, the sauce leaked all over the box causing the pata to become soggy.
The max's Kare-Kare (Beef Peanut Stew) has no tastes to it, cant even taste the peanut butter.
The Garlic Rice AND Plained Steam Rice both tasted spoiled
The Sizzling Tofu is such a tiny portion for the price that we paid for
All in all, we were very disappointed with all the food that we ordered. It was not worth what we paid for. Food was cold when it got to us. We had high expectations but max's failed to deliver it. Ordered it at 7:17pm, the food got to us past 9pm.
We barely ate any of the food as most of it tasted and smelled spoiled. What a waste.

Sizzling Tofu was salty & Binagoongan Fried Rice serving is quite small compared to other Filipino restaurants.
