• 7/12/23This is my go-to place for my favorites: Lamb Sahi Korma and Rasmalai - other places sometimes add tomato to their korma sauce but Cumin - Their korma is rich, creamy bright yellow and has just a subtle tinge of heat.
Their Rasmalai are perfect: firm, but moist throughout and not grainy at all.
The Bhatura are great too - a lot of places 'fry' their naan or poori in a skillet or on a griddle, which usually just results in the bread being gross and oily instead of crispy - Cumin flash fries their bread properly so it forms these awesome big crispy bubbles.
other outstanding things I've had from here include their papadam, raita, poori, naan, garlic naan, peshwari naan and Gulaab Jaamun
I'm very picky about my Indian cuisine and I used to have to order certain things I like from different places because I couldn't find a single restaurant that actually makes all the things I like and makes them all really well... until I tried Cumin - since then this has become the only Indian place I order from!

• 8/21/25Chicken Tikka Masala was flavorful and came with about 2 portions for me. Not spicy and just a little sweet. Also got the basmati rice. Mango Lassi is sooo yummy, I loved it.

• 11/27/23I was disappointed especially for the price. The chicken in the Chicken Tikka Masala was dry . The dough /dumplings were not fully cooked and the tiny little "taste" of Kheer had NO taste at all. I am not even sure what this is ....a tablespoon of rice in unsweetened milk ??

• 7/8/22Good and really well flavored in huge quantities (2-3 meals from my Chicken Tikka Masala), but I'm surprised they don't include rice. Rice isn't expensive to buy/make and is kind of essential to the meal so I'm confused why it's extra. But it was really good so worth it IMO!

• 7/13/24the chicken Chicken Tikka Masala and the Navaratan Korma were excellent. the Navaratan Korma really blew my mind though, unexpected but in the best way possible. One of the best Indian restaurants in Chicago!
