• 4/29/25So good!!!! The udon noodles were so thick and great quality, mind you i used a huge serving bowl for it! The portions you get for the price is great.

• 2/7/26The Chirashi Don is a spectacular deal... a ton of sashimi (with your choice of seared or raw), lots of rice, a cucumber salad and Miso soup. The taste was awesome... so very fresh... and again, lots of it.
Try it... I'll bet you won't be disappointed... I sure wasn't!

• 9/19/25The best bang for your buck sushi you can get in all of Portland. I never write reviews but I had to for this place. Seriously, thank you for the great quality and incredible prices. My favorite sushi spot and it's not even close. The Vegas Roll in particular is incredible and my partner loves the Shrimp Tempura, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Avocado Veggie Roll. Keep being amazing Akira!

• 8/24/25Food was pretty good! They give a LOT of ginger and wasabi which rocks, and the Seaweed Salad was rlly good. I LOVE the Sesame Balls, and they were pretty soft & chewy. Some issues... I asked for condiments & utensils but didn't receive any utensils or soy sauce. The sauce that came w the Naruto Special Roll was rlly good but it's not soy sauce, it's kind of like ponzu but sweet. The Spicy California Roll description said it had cucumber but there was none in it. I only got 2 Sesame Balls, the picture showed 3.

• 4/5/25Fantastic sushi that keeps costs low with slightly smaller portions and slightly lower quality ingredients - I'm a fan of that, I like ordering more kinds of sushi rather than two extra pieces of my California Roll , which were excellent, but I could see others not liking it.
The Akira Special Roll was very good, I wanted to try it and it didn't disappoint - I'm not gonna have it again but it was enjoyable and I recommend it, it might be a new favorite of yours!
As someone who enjoys ikura I have to say this is slightly lower quality roe than you will get from other places but you still get two pieces of it for the lower than average cost; Akira's big benefit is that cost to quality ratio, they keep a high quality while keeping costs lower than the competition with those slightly smaller portions and slightly lower quality ingredients, but small enough sacrifices that it feels worth it for the savings - you can definitely taste the difference though.
I will definitely be back!
