I would have to rate Anchors as the the best fresh seafood in San Jose. We have DD Anchors quite a few times and it's always excellent. Tonight I was pleasantly surprised the side of mixed vegetables were as fresh as the seafood. Our go to, dining or DD.

I really like the Combo Louie Salad they have gotten better with giving a generous amount of crab and shrimp I have not found another place that serves this salad as good as anchors. The Cheesy Crab Bread also has a very generous portion of crab and this is the only place that I know that serves this. I'm disappointed with the Fresh Halibut it was not fresh IMO it was very thin and tasted frozen super thin halibut steaks big let down however the potatoes and veggies were good well seasoned.

The Cioppino is a miss. No crab, no scallops. Lots of tomatoes, celery, and bay leaves. The few pieces of fish included were fine. I would not order this again for the price. I can make a veggie stew with shrimp at home.

I have ordered from here for more them 2 years at least once a month and this time there was hardly any lobster on my roll for a $26 price and half the amount of cioppino I have always gotten for $30. I am very disappointed and won't be ordering from them again. This is not right for these prices.

Fairly stingy on the shrimp and avacado. I'll go back to City Fish for this item.
