"The Vegetarian Biryani was more like veg pulao. No basmati rice and they used some cheap rice. baingan Bharta didn't have the smoked flavor. Naan was very very basic and unappetizing. Punjabi Kadi was the only item that tasted semi decent.
With enough practice, some day they may be able to serve Indian food. But right now they are not ready. There are many better options for Indian food in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, this restaurant is not one of them."

"Wow! This is a new late-night joint on DoorDash in the San Jose area, and I have to say I'm super impressed. Prices were really reasonable (for reference, the photos I've included are for half portions of each dish). Everything tasted very fresh, despite me ordering at the crack of dawn right before they closed.
The Vegetarian Soup tasted like a mix of all the veggies and spices they used during the day-- and I mean this in the best way possible. It's delicious in an unexplainable way.
The Veg Momo were excellent - not greasy, but they do have a bit of a kick (spicy). Nothing I found overwhelming or unpleasant, but just wanted to give a heads up.
Schezwan Fried Rice was also very good, not oily, nice spice level, lots of veggies in it.
I think what I liked best was that I felt great after eating the food; nothing felt heavy or greasy or artery-clogging-y. Oh and also they wrapped everything really well, which is always a plus.
Definitely will be ordering again!"

What an absolutely incredible dining experience at Masakali! I visited today and tried three dishes — the Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, and the Chicken Tandoori Platter — and every single bite was a revelation.
The Hyderabadi Dum Biryani was cooked to perfection — aromatic, layered with flavors, and the rice had that beautiful slow-cooked depth that's so hard to get right. The Chicken Tandoori Platter was juicy, smoky, and perfectly spiced — you could tell it was marinated with real care and cooked in a proper tandoor. Exceptional quality all around.
