Yes! A real Baby Kay exists! Kay Marie Sonnier Romero is her name. The majority of Cajuns have nicknames. Her father referred to her as Baby Kay because her mother's name was Katie. She grew up in New…
The Shrimp Etouffee is the best I've ever had. Most are tomato based sauce but Baby Kay's is more of a cream sauce that is absolutely delicious. The green olive coleslaw is an outstanding variation of the traditional side dish and I can no longer eat regular coleslaw anymore.

Baby Kay's Cajun Kitchen serves exceptional Lulu's Wings, particularly the extra-crispy option, which I find enhances their flavor. The Crawfish Etouffee Cup is flavorful with the right amount of spice.

Portions are a little small. If I am paying 25$ for a Crawfish Etouffee plate I would hope to expect more rice than a small cup. If I go in the restaurant and get the same plate I'd end up with more food which is a shame.
Last time I ordered it the entree came in a full sized box. This time it came in bowls and cups. Significantly less food. Still delicious but I do not appreciate feeling like I got scammed.

I tried the Cornish hen, red beans and rice, and sweet potato pie. The portions were smaller than expected, and the hen was on the dry side. The pie also tasted more like banana pudding than sweet potato.
Unfortunately, the meal didn’t meet my expectations, and I likely won’t be ordering again

Their serving style is a little different. They serve everything in cups and they are pretty small. I order the jambalaya which was pretty basic rice and meat nothing too special. I also ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo, now that was fantastic however it was just a really small portion. If you are super hungry I would order 2 portions of something for how small they serve everything. Flavor of everything was good.
