I got the Loaded Potato Soup (16 oz) every day while I was home sick with covid and it was the best potato soup ive ever gotten from a restaurant - the consistency was perfect and they don't skimp on the bacon or the cheese at all. Once they even left me a little hand drawn ghost and a cute pun on the napkin bag. Just great vibes overall

I ordered the BLATE. WOW! This sandwich was loaded with bacon and guacamole, twice what other retaurants give you. It was delicious. The potato soup was a bit spicy-hot for my taste, but still nice. Prices wereower than most competitors, a welcome surprise!

The Korean Cheesesteak is always good. The addition of kimchi adds an extra zip. Sandwich was stuffed so full with meat and cheese the filling was literally falling out.
Pita chip basket is a nice side. I like having an alternative to fries, which I don't care for.
I would love to try one of their burgers, but they force you to buy fries with them. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if it came a la carte.

Mac & Cheese was excellent as usual. Lots of real cheddar cheese on top. I added the grilled chicken, which was in succulent bite-sized pieces.
Corn Chip Basket was not quite as good as their pita chips. Also a smaller portion. The chipotle cheese dip went well with the chips.
Note: the chip basket does not come with a dipping sauce unless you order one. They cost .75 extra.

This place, Better Than Mama's, is hands-down one of the best places in Salem.
Their menu is packed with value. Their breakfast burrito and mac and cheese, in particular, are two of my favorites. They have never failed to make them to perfection and a real comfort to eat.
They deserve every bit of praise they are getting, and I hope they last forever with the quality of food they provide.
