California taco is the real deal, amazing food for a great price, very good portion size. this our go to order. I have never had a bad meal for there. we have been ordering and going there I think since they opened.

Barely any sour cream and guac. Thick cut sliced cheddar cheese isn't of shredded? No pico just poorly cut tomatoes, reservoir location is way better

I ordered steak, which was so dry and chewy and there was very little of it. The chips were very bland and were hard. The guacamole was almost watery it lacked so much. I hoped for more flavor. Would not recommend.

a total mess in the container. the chips were soggy from being stuck in the beans, the quesadilla was soggy from grease and being placed with the sour cream and Pico. rice was dry.

I moved here from Texas, so it was nice to find decent tacos.
The past couple months something has changed with California Taco.
The red hot sauce used to be thin and flavorful, now it's chunky and bland. The soft tacos were served on lightly seared corn tortillas, now they're just served on corn tortillas. The grilled chicken tacos would come with lime wedges, and they switched to lemon (which is bizarre, because lime is a staple in Mexican cuisine, not lemon.)
I'm sure they still make some good stuff, but I'd be hesitant to try it seeing as how they've changed all the things I ordered weekly to a subpar quality.
