Worst meal I’ve had in a long time. I decided to try Somali cuisine for the first time with my Somali friend and at first I was excited because when the food arrived it actually smelled really good. Unfortunately the experience went downhill very quickly. The main platter came with a noticeably smaller portion than what my friend told me is normally served and while I tried to overlook that what really disappointed me was the lack of meat. There were only three or four small pieces of meat in an entire platter that was otherwise mostly plain white rice. It did not stop there because I had also ordered a quesadilla and fries. The fries looked extremely old and tasted rotten as if they had been sitting out for a long time. The quesadilla was somehow even worse. It tasted stale and the cheese appeared to be molding which genuinely made me question how long it had been sitting before being served. I do not usually leave negative reviews and I understand that family owned businesses can have off days but this experience was unacceptable. Between the tiny portions the lack of meat the old fries and what seemed to be spoiled cheese this was one of the worst meals I have had in a very long time and I left extremely disappointed.
