• 11/10/24First genuine chocolate mole sauce I've had in 50 years! Chile Relleno and chicken enchilada were great, as was the guacamole and the chips. Highly recommend this restaurant.

• 1/8/26the Albondigas Soup was perfect for a cold night's dinner. The metballs were plentiful, flavorful and light. There were lots of potatoes and carrots in the rich broth also. I highly recommendthis dish.

• 5/18/26Great food but - expensive. I know how to prepare these dishes. A burrito doesn't cost $20 to make nor does a crunchy taco with small portion of rice and beans which was $24. But I do understand the pressure of cost restaurants are facing to operating in California. Not to mention the rents. Still worth a dining experience.

• 11/9/24I was excited to try El Talpense, and it did not disappoint!! I ordered (take out) street tacos, enchilada, and rice and beans. It was delicious!! Great flavor, the meat was tender, the tortillas were soft, and everything was seasoned----but not overly seasoned. Will definitely be back!! I would have taken a picture of the actual food, but I ate it all! My only criticism is the food containers were stacked on their side in the paper bag, hopefully that was an accident.
