El Tiempo is one of the best Mexican Cantina's in Houston. I ordered the steak and Chicken or Beef Fajitas - 1LB  and it was perfect! The Katy location has terrible customer service though. Every time i go there the hostess has always been extremely rude. The servers are great but it would be nice to be greeted by someone a bit more friendly. I try to avoid this specific location for that reason.

It was okay. I expected potatoes, carrots, corn, and cabbage in my albondiga soup, but it was just broth and meatballs and not to mentioned the container was small that it wasn't worth $11 dollars. I made albondigas and I definitely prefer mine, so I for sure will not be ordering that from there again.

Ordered 1lb Chicken, Beef Or Pork Al Pastor - 1LB And wasn't impressed at all. Flavor was over powered by some unknown spice. Almost unedible!! I've been here several times and never experienced this before! Very disappointing.. and unlike other restaurants that separate the sour cream, Pico, guacamole ect.. they through it all in a small container that mixed together. Overall for $100 this was unacceptable.

The Tacos were large and delicious. Meat was separated to keep the taco shells crunchy. It was disappointing to have nachos with no cheese flavor at all. I could see there must have been a little cheese on them, but it was minimal. The restaurant gave the dasher the wrong order. He had to return to get our order. I chose to pay more and order from El Tiempo because I expected better quality. The guacamole was okay, but small for the price.

I don't know if it was off day or what. The beef fajitas were bland and fatty. The refried beans had zero flavor. The queso, guacamole, and green sauce with chips were awesome and all parties agreed!  Not sure I will order again. Too many awesome places in Katy.
