• 7/31/25I don't recommend this place for Nicaraguan food. The Carne Asada con Maduros, ensalada plate barely had any carne asada. And they put a tiny little piece of cheese on both of the plates I ordered. Barely any cabbage salad. The entire plate had mostly gallo pinto. On the second plate I got tajadas. Tell me why they're all burned up? Paid $4 for a slice of queso frito. Thin a.. little piece of queso. The fresco de Cacao not even close to the Nicaraguan version. Taste like they used powdered mix to make it. I ordered from a different Nica spot the day before, I'm debating which one was the worse. At least the other gave more queso and the tajadas were tasty. A real Nica would agree cause they know what authentic Nicaraguan food is. I don't not recommend this place at all.

• 6/26/25The marinated Carne Asada was fantastic! The fried plantains I haven't had in a long time since childhood, also good. Pickled salad and rice/beans rounded the entree out. 5/5
Corn on the cob was perfectly sweet and had arrived pre-buttered. I did not even have to use the extra butter that was provided but did so anyway. 5/5
The enchilada was ok and served as the appetizer... 4/5
Orange-Cantaloupe juice = great taste but it is a small cup. A nearby taqueria in Fremont also makes a fantastic melon juice for the same $5 price BUT is 3x larger... 3/5

• 6/19/25DO NOT TRUST THE PHOTOS!
TL;DR: The food was fine—more balanced than a McDonald’s meal, for sure—but the beef was overcooked, seasoned moderately, and the drink+sides left a lot to be desired.
The Carne Asada con Maduros, ensalada was a mixed bag.
The beef was overcooked, moderately seasoned, tough, and conservatively portioned for the price. The rice and beans were good, though—sufficiently portioned as well. The salad was unnecessary and could’ve easily been made a $1 add-on if it meant slightly more or higher-quality meat. The plantains were great, and I’m glad they were included—definitely a saving grace.
The Corn on the Cob / Elote disappointed.
It had little more than a pinch of cheese and about 0.1 oz of melted butter in a tiny cup that would barely be big enough to fit the tip of your thumb inside of.
The Cacao sucked.
Plainly put: not worth the price and not as advertised. It’s far from "silky decadence”—more like watery chalkiness. Seems like real cacao, at least, and that much I can respect.
