Always the freshest, best ingredient, highest quality food. Whether I order delivery or eat in the restaurant, I love the food. The 8 oz Elote (street corn) is to die for. The Birria Ramen is perfectly balanced, not too salty. In my opinion, top pick for casual mexican food on the east side.

We ordered 4 Taco Lengua. We thought they must be the bigger size if they're $ 5 each. Nope! They were small. Other places charge $3 for the same thing. The lengua was okay. It was tender, at least,but not very much flavor. The tortillas were dry and not warm. There was half of a small container of green salsa, which was enough for 2 tacos and there was a container of super hot habanero salsa. There's no way to choose what kind you want and how much. And then the Refried Beans were cold and grainy. It was very disappointing. We won't be ordering there again.

Don't sleep on Gordo's! First, the Taco Chicken meat was SO FLAVORFUL. you know how some places the chicken is bland? It's SO delicious here. The Shrimp Vampiro was also really delicious! The guacamole sauce they add is super good, and the shrimps are big, seasoned well, and not overcooked. Had the Birria Ramen again and it was fire as usual. I like extra broth so I added a little boiling water from the kettle to it and the flavor was still super rich, and the meat is great - no big fat chunks or anything that you sometimes get with birria. Everything was packed nicely and hot. Like I said, don't sleep on this one. Also the orange salsa is hot af but if you add it to your ramen, it mellows a bit and you can taste its delicious complexity.

I honestly can’t say enough positives about the food at Gordo’s! It’s sooooo good!
The quality is always on point. The meat is always fresh and flavorful. Every time I’ve dined in, I’ve been so happy with what I’ve gotten. I love the carnitas, carne asada, and birria tacos. The carne asada fries are great.
Just ordered delivery and the tacos and carne asada burrito were perfect. My only qualm is that they put too much guac on their items, but requesting it on the side for dipping is perfect for me.
I lived in LA and am used to amazing tacos at every corner and Gordo’s is the same quality as those LA staples.

Birria tacos are amazing, full of flavor. And they gave me all of the sauces per my request which a lot of places wont even bother giving any. Better than Los Tapatios and they're supposedly best in state. Never getting my birria from anywhere else.
