I had the 2 piece chicken, greens, mac, and sweet potato pie. The chicken was juicy and the seasoning was perfect. This is my first time eating there... I normally get Mrs Whites.. or another place near by that food went down hill after they built the new restaurant and became a chain. But... Gus' food is really good and fresh... I recommend eating there. My only complaint was that my sweet potato pie was so tiny. I dont mind a smaller portion but for $4... it wasnt worth it. But... overall slamming food.

This place is amazing! The food was amazing! And the portions are HUGE. I definitely had my money's worth and I was happy to have a refrigerator and microwave in my room as I ended up with food for two meals. I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Phoenix. I will be eating there again!

The portion is great, gets you super full and satisfied with some to save for lunch the next day. The food was amazing, and smelled fresh, very juicy and delicious, a blessed Sunday home-cooked dinner. The only down side was missing 1 of 4 pieces of chicken but who knows maybe the driver was hungry or it was an honest mistake. Over all wonderful & great food!

You already know when a restaurant becomes your 'favorite' spot when you awaken ast 3AM wishing they were already open for a 3-piece white 3 Piece Wing Plate ....Gus's is it!!!
Church's and Popeyes is NO more! Thank God for Gus's!!! Always crisp, always tasty, and "poppin" hot. Oh, and one last comment (really?), No one beats their cole slaw (Yes!).

If you want fried chicken look no further. The Mac and cheese is to die for, the fries and fried pickles are crispy, and the chicken has such a good crispy skin and is seasoned perfectly. Do yourself a favor and try this place!
