• 9/13/25I ordered the Half Chicken Plate this time, however, I usually order more for my family. The fried chicken here is consistently good. It's crunchy, juicy (even the breast which I don't eat), with a hint of spice. I love the greens as a side (I do wish they'd pack them separately as they do for sides or larger orders), fries (lightly or no seasoning for me), and the pies on occasion.

• 12/10/23Their consistency is great! I think the chicken is brined. Ate it at home, parties, work meals. The fried okra is the best in the Bay Area. The chess pie taste like someone's granny made it. The chicken wasnt greasy. The white meat was juicy, not dry. Delicious. 4+4 is ATE!!!

• 10/10/23I would have taken a picure of the Fried Pickles, but we devoured them. The Mac and Mac & Cheese looked just like the picture and tasted so amazing! I was brought back to childhood. The 8 Piece Special was real juicy and nice and crispy. Will be ordering again soon

• 6/3/24Let's break it down:
(Any) Chicken: Flavorful batter, seasoned superbly well. Concerned about the slight slimy texture, usually indicates the chicken needs a more thorough cleaning or slightly longer cook time. (Not to be confused with it being a food safety hazard). Size of the chicken is not particularly large, about the size of your palm / hand.
Lemonade / Bev: Sweet, not tart if you're into that, solid.
Chess pie: $8 for one small slice of pie is criminally overpriced, $5-6.50 would be a better margin. However the flavor, light and fluffiness truly was a great treat.
Potato Salad: Im from the east coast, this is how we like our potato salads, a balance of sweetness and slight tart from the mayo (or base used). Excellent.
Mac & Cheese: Absolutely a disappointment, flat and flavorless, do not recommend buying until they adjust that, noodles are overcooked argo (mushy)
Collards: Light on the seasoning department, definitely not bitter or bland, some people like that, but this wasn't bad, nor super stellar. Somewhere in the middle.
Wait time: Ive ordered and personally picked up from here, they take their time...it can be a bit frustrating and can be for your Dasher as well. Overall good place to eat.
