Food tasted good. Portion quite small though. Did not expect small container bowls in my plate lunch. Would have expected at least a medium size bowls for the portion. I order again if ever the appetite for it. Desert was delicious as always.

Pork LauLau is bland, not too much flavor and did not put any pork fat. Tasted very basic. Chicken long rice also is bland. Pilukaula is supposed to be dry but still some moist flavor, no this was super dry. This entire plate cost me $30 which is waaaaay over priced and not worth it. I rather just go and spend an hour wait to eat at Helenas

The absolute best. Food is always on point. We love the lau lau, butter fish, and pipikaula. Lomi salmon is a must. Group enjoys loco moco. Combo plates are great size and value and variety. You cannot go wrong with anything here! Food is fresh, delicious, and unique. Service is amazing!

So first time visitor to Hawaii. I can't stand all of the polished well packaged garbage that the travel agents recommend.
I want the real experience. A couple of the locals near Mermaid Cave told us about this place and said that if we wanted a truly Hawaii food experience to look at this restaurant.
Wow!!!!!! 7 of us in our family and each one ordered something different with the intent of us all getting to try multiple different food items. Everything was wonderful, and I mean everything! My favorite was the short ribs. They were incredible. The bread pudding was by far the best i had ever had. Somehow, even the salad dressing was amazing over the mixed greens. By far my favorite meal we have had on the island and guaranteed my number 1 place i look forward to visiting again on our next visit. Excellent excellent work to the staff that prepared this meal. All food was delicious. Poi: good texture not watery or sour, lomi salmon looked & tasted fresh & not full of onions, Kalua pig & pipikaula tasty/wonderful. Beef stew: local tasting w/great gravy. I used to frequent here a lot then was unable to. Made me happy to see I can now order for delivery. Made my day. Thank you for using a partitioned plate. I don't like my food all mixed together. Did great job packing the food.
