I really can't say anything bad about Hunan Village Petaluma CA... Lily's ownership and the team that she has, is the best out there!!!

I have been ordering from hunan for many years and find them to be the only place in town that I’ll eat at. However, lately the orders have been bland as well as smaller and more expensive almost $20 for all cart items seems very exorbitant.

The vegetables were underdone and cut way too large. There was too much vinegar in the sauce for the eggplant dish. The fried rice was bland and vegetables were almost raw. Very disappointing considering we've ordered there quite a few times. The ribs were delicious however, last time we ordered, they gave us four and this time there were three??

What made Hunan Village Restaurant so appealing is the fact that its food is very very good! I am visiting Petaluma from the Bay Area. And I am very impressed with the quality of their food. My order consisted of; 1) House Special Fried Rice which I saved for dinner the next night and I was very pleased with my decision to save it for dinner! 2) Shrimp Dumpling with whole shrimp inside better than some restaurants in San Francisco and yes size matters here. 3) Sui Mai is very good and very tasty. 4) Honey Walnut Prawns definitely worth the price and very tasty.
5) Pot Stickers are very filling and delicious! 6) Thai Iced Tea quite a surprise being that this is a Chinese food restaurant but it's also one of my favorite beverages good move to include in the menu!
I'm very picky about my Chinese Food and I have a say that I love this restaurant because they make their food very tasty with good portions of food. And the best part about this is I didn't have to leave my motel room.
So well done Hunan Village Restaurant your cooks have done you proud! I would definitely again so I can try other dishes!

2. Szechuan Chicken was delicious and crispy. 3. Vegetable Spring Rolls (4) were great with sauce. The Organic Lemonade satiates that thirst for a good lemonade.
