I hadn't heard of this place before. I've been disappointed by most of the Mexican places in town, except the burritos at Mi Burrito. I ordered the beef flautas to be delivered, and was surprised when I opened the box. They had guacamole on one end, red sauce on the other and sour cream in the middle. Very attractive,and the flag colors. I wish I'd taken a photo. They were very good, but next time I'll try corn tortillas. Refritos were tastier than most, and they threw in a bag of chips. I'm anxious to try a couple of other items in the future.

the enchiladas plate was perfect as far as portion and taste. they even added the cilantro and onion i requested. rice and beans were also delicious. the horchata was a little too syrupy for me and maybe not as fresh? either way i will most certainly order again

While the nacho toppings were mostly great (wish it came with jalapeños), the chips are the light/crispy kind so by the time I got my order it was a soggy mess. This place needs to either use thicker chips or pack the toppings separately from the chips. Super disappointing to pay $20 for some unenjoyable soggy nachos.

Super nachos were good. I did see some previous comments mentioning them being soggy which can happen but everything tastes really good. Beans have good flavor, pollo asado is delicious and the portions were huge.

I love Island Taqueria, they've been my go-to since before they were Island Taqueria(they used to be Alameda Taqueria ages ago.) 20 years or some ridiculously long time, no Vegetarian Burrito has topped them for me. They are they standard I hold other taqueria's to. The staff has always been amazing too. I'm always happy to walk in and see the same cook behind the counter and often a familar face at the register. This is the place!
