Delicious. I got half grandmas and half bbq chicken. Super fresh tasting tomato sauce, really good mozzarella and basil. Bbq chicken side was way better than California pizza kitchen. Crust is also perfect combination between crispy and soft.

Their regular pizza is meh. But the sicilian pizza is amazing! I think the plain cheese is my fav.
Also best canolo Ive ever had. its just 1 canolo. It says canoli which means two. but its actually just one. However it is really big. biggest cannolo i ever had. the price of just 5 dollars is also amazing.
I wasnt a big fan of the garlic knots. they felt slightly stale. marinera dipping sauce was cold and watered down. just ok.

Food: Great taste (dough is not too thin and not too thick), affordable slices, whole pie available for purchase too but the cost online of the whole pie is a little high imo , good quality pepperoni (not the shitty kind that hardens and rolls up), delivers well (you may choose to warm up for a few secs in the microwave, but even then, the cheese's consistency and taste hold well), just the right amt of tomato sauce and not overly seasoned.
Location: easy to find when walking or driving and close to many residential buildings in the heart of dtla. Also very close to many bars which makes for a perfect end of night snack/munchies. Open late which is a big plus. Indoor seating available. Overall: will be getting again.

the pizza from this Joe's is consistently undercooked, and this time it was really bad. Much of the pie doesn't even have sauce, and the crust is stretched so thin it's like they are trying to save money on dough. The Santa Monica Joe's was always good, but I'm not ordering from the Downtown Joe's again.
