Great restaurant with amazing staff and delicious food. Wonderful place for authentically spiced cuisine. Add the green sauce for a bouquet of flavor. Add the orange sauce for intense spice. Oakland is blessed to have at least one place (Kamdesh) that does not cater to the bland western pallet.

Wow! The reviews were not lying. We ordered Kubideh and Lamb shank Sabzi Challow. Was a little skeptical at first but the lamb was AMAZING and it's a literal leg of lamb. Excellent quality and value!! Super flavorful. Recommend with eggplant and afghani salad

Somehow my other review of the fresh, beautifully spiced, generous portions at this sweet spot ended up with the little hand going in the wrong direction. I LOVED this food so much I had to come back to say it. I LOVE THIS FOOD!

I absolutely love this place! The food is consistently delicious, the portions are solid, and there's nothing quite like it in the area. Before the pandemic, I'd go to the restaurant but I've been ordering here since then. Happy to say that everything is well packaged and arrives hot and neatly organized. I recommend the Eggplant Borani. So good!

Everything was spiced perfectly, fresh, and delicious. I ordered appetizers Mantoo, Sabzi, Eggplant with naan to share with my partner who chose an entree plate. I can't eat rice (sad), and it means I get to enjoy more flavors and often I get to share. Everything was so tasty and good for us; we ate every bite. And the hot sauce! Wow. I love this place- we'll definitely order again.
