Looking for the best Indian food in Toronto? Visit us at Downtown and Etobicoke locations to experience authentic Indian food at its best. Whether it's Tandoori Chicken or Biryani, Palak Paneer or Alo…
I got the Palak Paneer, the Lamb or Beef Curry (w/ beef), and the Chicken Vindaloo. I ordered a Mild-to-Medium heat level, but I feel like I should have ordered straight-up Medium, because it was very easy on the palate. Very good flavours, good portion size, and very well packaged. Expecting good things from the South Indian Paratha (1)! Also, extremely fair price on the can of Coke/Soft Drink 💯

This is my absolute favourite Indian restaurant ever. I've tried so many in Toronto and across Ontario and I can confidently say this is the most flavourful and fresh food I've had. I always order the butter chicken, naan bread and rice and often times add other items but EVERYTHING is 10/10. Highly recommend!!!

This is the best Indian food that I have had in years. My husband was a chef at the Royal York, and a colleague would cook his Indian dishes when the kitchen wasn't crazy busy, and the meal would be shared with the Executive Chef, my husband and their secretary. If I wasn't too busy at work, they would invite me, and I would always jump at the chance to eat his food and learn new recipes. Our local restaurant seems to be closed, and after reading the reviews from so many restaurants, I decided to try Kothur. The Lamb Rogan Josh is boneless, tender, fat, and gristle free in a rich fragrant sauce. In the Paneer Makhani, the cheese is delightfully soft in a beautifully spiced sauce. The Aloo Gobi is as good as the recipe Ali gave me years ago with cauliflower that is tender but not mushy, and the potatoes are cooked the same way. The way I would describe their Chilli Chicken is that it tastes like a General Taos Chicken, but the pieces of chicken are larger, and never dried out. Try!!

Butter Chicken was dry. The texture of the chicken was tough and congealed. Definitely not enough chicken and a lot of sauce. Sauce had good flavour. The Garlic Naan had a good flavour but was dry. The Gulab Jamun was the worst as it tasted like dirty oil. Generally the food tasted not fresh.

This is by far, my favorite Indian restaurant that tastes like home cooking. It is always consistent and when I highlighted that I didnt want "any coriander garnish" in the special suggetions, I was called by the restaurant to clarify if it was because of an allergy, or just a choice. I assured the caller that I'm fine with ground coriander, but I don't like the coriander leaves. While I'm sure the caller was protecting the restaurant, he did it in a way that showed genuine kindness and a concern for my well being. I ordered a number of their wonderful dishes because my family loves eating Indian leftovers and we think they taste even better when the flavors have blended overnight. The Paneer Makhani, Chill Chicken and Beef Rogan Josh over Peas Pula.
