We have been eating at La Abuela for years and adore everything about this lovely restaurant. The food arrived as perfect as it is in house. Ordered Guacamole which is divine and comes with perfect tortilla chips. Also highly recommend the Torta al Pastor and Tacos De Birria. Its a blessing to live somewhere we can enjoy this food .

For the price, the shrimp cocktail was very small and did not come like it normally comes from other restaurants, and the soup container. There was hardly any cocktail sauce/juice in it. I thought the menu said that all of the tacos come with black beans. Mine came with plain rice and no beans. I was disappointed with what I received.

Carnitas was mostly fat and not very flavorful, Cheese Dip 8 oz W/ small bag chips was watery and super salty. Food was not great, actually pretty pathetic and the value is terrible for what you get! Cheese Cream Flan was ok for store bought.

I'm not one to give bad reviews. I wanted so badly to like this place. let's start off with the fact that they replaced the original soup that I ordered with something else. I got the Traditional Pozole Mexicano which lacks so much flavor to the point that I had to add salt and other seasonings. I only got 3 Flautas for $11.00 no rice, no beans, nothing! I would not be ordering from this place again. I get that the economy is bad but come on, at least give us what we pay for!

The Guacamole and beef Empanadas were just fine, however that's where our order went off the rails. The Mix Fajitas and Steak Fajitas were TERRIBLE! The rice was so flavorless, dry, and hard it was literally inedible. The Fajitas themselves had no flavor whatsoever, almost as if someone's abuela went senile and forgot seasoning. Also, just throwing this out there, there are plenty of other spots for Spanish food that do it WAY better. Azteca for example. You literally get 3x more meat and veg for about $2-$3 more. Will never order from Abuela again. She needs the Old Yeller treatment. STAT.
