• 2/25/25This was our first time ordering from this restaurant and we were not disappointed. We caught it right before it closed so some options were out, but we will definitely be regulars. Large portions to say we ordered small sizes to try out. We ordered the Small (12 oz) gumbo, and it was filled with ingredients and great flavor. We also ordered the small red Camellia Red or White Beans and it was filled with meat and wasnt so small. Had great flavor. Even allowed me to add rice on the side. I love that we could tell everything was fresh. Lastly, we had the Fried Ribs. Def couldve been fried a little less but still tasty. Everything was great. Added pictures to show size and ingredients. Def a must try, you wont be disappointed!

The beans were outstanding . Pork chop was delicious and was great with beans.corn bread could have been bigger and yams were excellent all in all worth the price. As always cream corn was like my mamas.

• 1/20/26Had the beef rib platter! It was excellent and a rare find. Quality beef cut, not the cheap version....tender and very well seasoned. Not to mention the Mac and cheese or the collard greens are second to none! MUST TRY!

Service couldn't be better you can just tell that cooking is a passion for these gentlemen I appreciate the love they share to their customers, you will not be disappointed! • 7/3/25I wish I could give them 10 stars! The communication with the owners of this restaurant is beyond reproach; their customer service is Chick-fil-A level. They could teach other businesses about customer service!
Everything I tasted was fantastic. My absolute favorite is the Creole corn—it's a chef's kiss! Even my son, who is the most finicky eater in the world (just like his stepfather, James), absolutely enjoyed the beef ribs.
Let's talk portion size: the portions are more than generous. It's like going to grandma's house; the portion size was just that generous. I can tell that all the food was extremely fresh, cooked with absolute love and attention. This food is prepared with intentionality and with their customer base in mind.
I will definitely be ordering again and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for truly home-cooked meals without blowing the budget.
