I order here at least once a week - owner is great and the hibachi fried rice / steak has the best taste in the area off the grill. You can taste test the rice vs others and better quality for half the price.
Other hibachi brick and mortar restaurants in the area dont have the same taste for takeaway fried rice and it's a deal breaker for me.

This place is usually a hit. The steak is usually cooked to the desired temp and juicy and everything is cohesive. Today unfortunately the plate came with significantly less than what I'm used to. I'm not sure of its because I used a discount, but that's not how that's supposed to work. There were also lots of hard pieces of rice. It hurt my tooth trying to eat it. I hope that it was just a one off but I'm not weary to order from here again.

First time trying this spot and... It is amazing! The filet and lobster were cooked to perfection! And the amount of food you get was beyond my expectations! Definitely keeping this spot on my go to's when I'm in the area!

Order here all the time. Best hibachi for value in the area. Everything else is $60 while Makanai is under $30 for a full plate.
The best upside is the fried rice for to-go hibachi. I worked at hibachi restaurants before and if you order takeout from other brick and mortar restaurants you won't get the rice cooked on the grill so it doesn't taste the same.
Makanai is cooked on the grill so you have better quality than the brick and mortars for half the price

$29 for a few pieces of Steak and the other 98% of the bowl was rice.
No veggies
No Utensils
No sauce
Steak was cooked Ok, but could of used more seasoning and quit being so skimpy with your portions if you charge that much.
