This was my first time visiting and I felt very welcomed and appreciated as soon as I walked in. The owner is very down to earth. The aroma in the restaurant let's you know the food will be delicious and it definitely was! I was missing one order of 3 Pieces Tenders N Fries for one of my kids. But the portions are a decent size so I was able to split one meal between them and also split the Chicken Quesadilla. 2 Pork Chops were seasoned and fried very well. The turnip green had real turnips! The Mac and cheese and Sweet potatoes were the best combo. I'd give them a 10/10 even with the mishap!

the only thing good was the 2 Pieces Chicken .Green beans with potatoes had no seasoning, the Mac and cheese was just Mac with some bread crumbs, no cheese and very dry. and the greens were dry and bland. it's decent portions for the price, but not good tasting food. will not order from here again.

Everything was fresh, delicious, and homemade. I had the Salisbury steak with gravy rice and mashed potatoes from McCarther’s Kitchen, and it was SO good.
You can tell it’s real cooking—real ground beef, homemade gravy, and freshly mashed potatoes (not instant). The food was seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. It really reminded me of a home cooked meal, like something me, my mama, or my grandma would make.
I never finish a full plate when I eat out, but I cleaned mine today. That alone says everything. I’ll definitely be back!

The Turnip/Mustard Greens was not done.
Yams had a lot of juice very few yams, and I ask for 2 sides of the Turnip/Mustard Greens
With the bake chicken. I had an extra side of greens that I paid $2.50 I did not get.
