Gluten-free teff injera is a huge plus! My husband and daughter love the kitfo and banatu (beef dishes) and I'm a fan of the veggie combo with spicy mushrooms - delicious!

Consistently the best Ethiopian food, EXCEPT: when you order the meat combo, it forces you to add an additional side dish, for some reason? Like the extra is good dont get me wrong, but it is annoying to be forced to pay an extra $8 for a dish I neither want nor need just to get the one I *do* want. I assume this is a bug because it's not the case for the veggie combo...pls can someone fix this? Because a meat combo plate + an extra dish is just like, an insane quantity of food for one person

The gluten free injera is delicious, though for $2 extra I received half of the injera as the dishes with the regular injera. The Kitfo was delicious, though I wish it came with some salad/veggie side. The mesir wat on the Vegetarian Messob was incredibly flavorful, and overall the dish was great. I plan on ordering from here again and trying other dishes!

This place used to be a go to w great portions, but seems off now.
- Flavor/seasonings is different
- this particularly order had only five quarter-sized pieces of meat, plus a bone.
- overall portion is probably 2/3 what it used to be.

i love their special kitfo! i've had other special kitfos in the area but messobs is the best! it's the perfect amount of spicy. the savoriness is delectable and meat is high quality! the injera is fluffy and perfect balance of sour and nutty. the cheese can be a hit or miss but it doesn't bother me.
