Wow! This food is extraordinary. We chose this restaurant for the fried chicken, the quality of which cannot be overstated. Then there are the mashed potatoes, the broccoli, the bread! The candied yams, not too sweet, all dishes perfectly cooked and seasoned. The meatloaf was the same. Oh, and the Mac n cheese was delicious. Amazing

I paid $32 and received three oxtails,as you can see in the picture ,two small ones and one medium one. The greens had lots of stems in it.The cabbage and broccoli cheese casserole was okay but I'm very irritated that I paid $32 for three oxtails

I almost said yum til my bread crumbled and fell into little pieces not edible. collards are on point and peas are great. These Oxtails are not a 33.00 plate and have nothing on Farmer's Meat Market. They are tough and i can't chew them. Hopefully this microwave in this hotel will cook them more or I will be eating Ramon.

Everything tasted like Grandma's house on a Sunday after church or a big party. Fried Chickenwas fried perfect with seasoning only in the crush but the chicken was juicy. The meat loaf I am gonna eat off it for a while. Only thing rice doesn't come with gravy

To be honest, I didn't grow up eating soul food, so take my review with a grain of salt, since I'm no connoisseur, here. But I enjoyed the food. It was good. The beef tips and rice tasted like my mom's. The cabbage was GOOOOT. For a restaurant, the Mac and cheese didn't taste bad, it tasted like standard restaurant Mac and cheese. Which is basically velveeta. Not real baked Mac and cheese (did grow up on that). And that's fine, it's just, when I'm spending premium dollar, i want baked Mac and cheese. I want effort. Not just seasoning the velveeta real good. So, you know. It's not so bad that I would take a Star, the meal was enjoyable. Nothing gross or bland on my plate. But I don't think paying $30 for velveeta is appropriate. I think that sucks, actually. The cake was really good. Moist, sweet. The corn bread, also very sweet. Everything else 10/10. Mac and cheese, 4/10. Tasted like average restaurant Mac and cheese. I can go to KFC for the quality I got.
