• 1/14/23Everything at Monkey King is delicious!!!!! The Jambalaya rice is the BOMB!!! The salt and pepper Tofu is to die for!!! I just told my sister tonight that I the future we will have to get two orders .. that's how good they are !!!!!! The one on Piedmont is our fave !!! Loyal customers.. support local businesses!!!!!

• 8/22/24They forgot my ginger onion fried rice and it taste NOTHING Like the other monky kind locations just bland no crab meat. And the other locations gives you 10 chikem wings this loca in Oakland only gives you seven

• 8/17/23The ginger and onion crab rice was bland. No flavor. They only put a little in the box. The garlic noodles were not their normal flavor. Its almost as if the Oakland rest is totally different from the Alameda ones. Food was terrible.

• 3/24/24Portions are small and over priced. Usually order from the MONKEY KING AT THE BREWERY (open @6pm) they have same prices and can feed a family of 4. I had to literally make additional rice and chicken for my children. Mind you I ordered b/c I didn't have time to cook.

• 9/9/22Not sure if this round there was a different cook but the food was tasteless. Very thrown together, they changed the fries to these big ones. I ordered dry fried ribs and they were extra hard. Barely any meat on them. Crab friend rice tasted like oil and no flavor. Highly disappointed with my order. Garlic fries tasted nothing like garlic just oil and cheese.
