I always get a bagel from here and the honey walnut cream cheese, which are to die for. Today I got the BLT on a kaiser roll and it's so good. Real substantial with the ingredients, no skimping. Iced coffee always rules too, very consistent.

Consistenly awesome! NYC Bagels is a great place for filling and tasty bagels with cream cheese or a deli sandwich. I usually get a turkey sandwich on a kaiser roll and the portions are always very generous and vegetables are fresh and delicious. I'm partial to the garlic and everything bagels and bacon or veggie cream cheese. Definitely my go-to place for bagels!

CRUMB CAKE The crumb cake is 50-60% crumb and very little actual cake. kinda intense which is why only four stars. Same with the Bagel, it had so much cream cheese it actually was difficult to eat and I had to pull the entire thing apart and remake it. Food itself was fresh and good quality, the bagel nice and chewy.

Overall this place was good, but not great. (1) Bagel was loved by my toddler and toasted with 1/2 lb Plain Cream Cheese it was even better. But for the price I could get "fresh" baked bagels at the grocery store that are better and about the same price or cheeper. The Chicken Salad Sandwich had barely any chicken in it and was mostly a mayo (or whatever they use to mix the chicken salad with and veggies and there wasent very much, not enough to justify the $10 price tag. I did not grow up here and ihave very high bagle standards growing up on the north shore of Ma I was spoiled with Bagle world who does the same sandwich for half the price and is 10x better (bagel, spread, and amount they give you).
Also I am not used to a poppy bagel looking like a dark bread bagel usually it's a light bagel with poppy seeds on top thats not what I got here it almost looked like a pumpernickel or rye bagel.
Overall I think I will order just (6) Bagels and 1/2 b Plain Cream Cheese again but not a sandwich.

Goodness, these bagels hit the spot this morning!! They are the right amount of crispy outside and chewy inside. They are light without a dense, cakey feeling. They sliced easily, toasted well (ok, I burned this one slightly but that's on me) and are some of the best bagels I've ever had. True, NYC style bagels here in NC! Excited for my chicken salad and egg salad for lunch - I did a quick taste test and they are both delicious.
