Wow what a delicious, healthy lunch option! I don't usually order takeout but I had a sad empty fridge on a very busy workday. I saw Rooster & Rice as a top option and am really glad I did!
I wish I ordered extra broth. It was such a comforting way to start the meal. The chicken is tender and all white meat (what I wanted but couldnt request). The dipping sauce is flavorful. Everything arrived warm. Will def order again!

Taste was good. But chicken thigh was very thin. And they skimp on the rice. Used to be go to spot.
Their other Thai restaurants that give you more bang for your buck.
Order at your own risk.

I live in the area and have been here multiple times. This place will charge you 18+ dollars for a chicken and white rice bowl. Their broth is okay but the chicken is way too fatty and overall quality is just not worth the price. If you want a quick bite it's understandable but don't expect too much.

For some reason, DoorDash decided to choose the restaurant across town instead of the one down the street. I realized it was the wrong location 30 seconds after I ordered, but couldnt cancel without a $25 charge.
When I got the food, the portion size was so small compared to the one nearby. The broccoli was wilted, browning, and chewy. Very overcooked. The extra chicken container came half full.
I ordered 3 separate sauces, and they gave me two of the same sauce. This location is terrible and you should order from the one on 2nd St. or Kearny St. instead.

The last couple of times I have ordered from Rooster and Rice the quality has gone downhill. It had been inconsistent. I ordered a large 32 oz broth which was not seasoned at all, but the sides of the broth that came with my "The Original" was literally just water with no chicken taste and an
incredible amount of salt. Just inedible. The chicken also was not cleaned well and had a metallic taste. The rice has bits that were burnt. I love the KMG sauce, but can't imagine I will order again any time soon. Please bring back the consistency
