I haven't been to Round Table in years! Literally years. When I moved to Pleasanton in 1997, my first pizza order was from this restaurant. I grew up on Round Table in the South Bay in Santa Clara County. It was THE BEST! Even going back to the early 80s when I was in high school, that was the place everybody went.
I expected the same thing here, at this Pleasanton Round Table since they are a chain. However, what I experienced were very in fresh ingredients, mistake in orders, and something that really bugged me; an older Asian lady always answered the phone and giving your order was an ordeal. "We no have pepperoni, we ran out". They were always saying the same predictable lines:
1) They're out of (fill in the blank)
2) They're closing early today because of (I'm working by myself, we have no drivers, the salad bar is already put away and the ovens are turned off, plus many more).
3) Anything you can make up
The store was always dirty. I couldn't believe the dichotomy between the one I'd always gone to with the freshest pizza, and this one that never had customers.
HOWEVER....there is good news! I tried R.T. Last month for the first time since the late 90s. And it's awesome! I've sampled several large items with repeat orders too check consistency. The verdict is in: they're back!! The pepperoni with extra cheese is so awesome. So is the garlic bread with cheese--- it's to die for. The fresh salad for one person is huge and comes "fully loaded" (but I request pulling the cucumbers out---not my favorite. And the lettuce is beautifully fresh. No wilted leaves or brown/black spots. The cinnamon twist desert things are very good, but be aware that they appear small on the R.T. website. In reality, they are HUGE. And delicious. If you're ordering pizza just for you and for leftovers the next day, just place one order for them. I think it's 2 per order, so I ordered 2 packs, which was four deserts. They're great! But it took me a week to finish them by keeping them in the fridge, then warming them up really fast in a toaster oven.
I definitely recommend this Round Table. Delivery is fast and the food is HOT!
I'm so happy I can say Round Table is back, baby!

I have always loved round table pizza. But I've had a few misses in the past years.  This was the round table. I remember the best Italian sausage, pepperoni , the best spicy beautiful sauce.  I always get the original crushed. This is the pizza I remember from 10 years ago.

I love this pizza. The spicy sauce, original crust and quality toppings. Roundtable has had ups and downs but this location is back! Love it.

I love this Round Table location. I have ordered from them through Round Table's website aside from here on DoorDash for several years. Never have I had any problems with an order. And, the food is always hot and delicious.
