OMG!! Finally I found a one more restaurant that cooks a delicious non-pork based broth ramen. I ordered the Fried Chicken Shoyu Ramen with extra egg and spinach and made it spicy. Great bouncy noodles and a tasty flavorful broth! The use of ginger so good. Definitely my new Ramen spot. The price was right too! Jackpot!

The Harumaki Spring Rolls and their sauce were delicious! The ramen, however, was solidly and disappointingly mediocre. The noodles tasted like instant ramen, absolutely better than Maruchan's but I think fell short of Ichiran's. I thought the Miso broth was unimpressive, lacking umami and depth. I also thought they were fairly ungenerous with their vegetable toppings. The egg was pretty good! It was perfectly cooked. Overall, though, I don't think I would recommend this meal to any friend. Maybe my expectations were a little too high on account of their 4.8 rating?

Shumi Ramen was very salty and fishy. pork was dry and small. the only saving grace was the kale noodles, without that it would have been inedible. my 2nd time here and I'm not sure I'd try a third.
