Food has been consistently good at the restaurant. First time ordering delivery from them and everything arrived well packaged and was just as tasty. Will definitely order agaib.

I really wanted to like Sor Ynez, but both of the main dishes I’ve ordered from here have been really underwhelming and just not good. I initially ordered their Vegan Mixiote which tastes straight up like Campbell’s alphabet soup with a side of rice. There something off about the tomato sauce and as much as I like celery root, I don’t think it helps to carry the dish forward.
I’ve also tried their birria de res plate. I expected everything to come separate, similar to traditional Birria joints, but instead I received two greasy tacos with 1/2lb of cheese on them and very little meat tucked inside. The menu lists consume but that’s mostly a combination of flavorless rice/chickpeas in oil…not the kind of broth/consume that leaves you feeling healed/restored.
If I had to choose a highlight from the things I’ve tried it would be their vegan pinto beans and guacamole (both of which are hard to ruin). Overall, an unfortunate disappointment that I’m unlikely to revisit in the future.

Birria burrito is spot on. Everything you like about the tacos plus some rice wrapped in a tortilla. Torta is a glorified sandwhich for those who haven't had a torta before. I think the bread is a great base for absorbing the consommé which you can treat like hoagie with au jus (if that helps to think of it).

little salty for my liking, but I don't eat salt, so maybe I'm sensitive to it. They were mini tacos, but the limes with the tacos with a nice touch
