The beef tips literally melt in your mouth! The portion size is great for the price. Will order again!

The omelette was a bit undercooked and tasted more like scrambled eggs. The biscuit was a little overcooked and the outside was so hard that when I tried to break it off, it became a mess of hard crumbs. Lastly, my aunt wanted a side order of home fries, which are usually amazing...but the small amount they gave was not worth $4, and they are usually cooked a little longer. Not sure if they were really busy this morning or got a new cook. Still love this place.

Idk if Southern Spice was just having an off day or if it's bc I ordered 45min-1hr before they closed for the day but the only food that was seasoned and not bland as heck was the Classic Chicken Sausage gumbo. If you're craving gumbo, theirs is ON POINT - it's better than Nina P's. There was more chicken and sausage (tasted like Rabideaux's pork sausage) than any place I've ordered from. It was a bit greasy but full of flavor. It doesn't come w/ potato salad like the stock pic shows tho. The Chicken Strip Basket came w/ (3) huge chicken tenders, (4) hush puppies & plain crinkle fries. The Cajun Fries were perfect and reheated nicely in the toaster oven. The Cheeseburger was decent but way overcooked (the edges were crunchy) and under seasoned. The Cheesecake sent looks NOTHING like their pretty stock photo (see pic to compare for yourself) - it def was NOT fresh - no fresh fruit or sauce. Old gross looking, brownish in color and had a liquid congealed in bottom of container. The "steak" Quesadillas were made w/ a kinda "steak" I've never seen. Looks and tastes like chopped hamburger meat (see pics).

One of my favorite chicken fried chicken meals.  Always fresh, fried perfectly, the fried green beans are delicious.  The homemade roll is very close to my Momma's rolls.  I can eat lunch and have leftovers for supper, there is so much food.

Everything was so good!! First, I got all my order and it was all correct. The onion rings were amazing, I loved the chicken wings, and the chicken tenders were HUGE. The burger tasted fresh off the grill and the crawfish potato had rave reviews. Will definitely order
