My food arrived fresh and hot I ordered the 3 Meat Combo Plate with the 4 rib bones, char siu ribs, and fatty brisket. The rib bones were tasty and a good size and came with sauce on the side there was a sauce on top too , it had like a honey bbq taste but homemade. The char siu ribs weren't what I expected (based off google lol) but they were reallyyyyyy good it had an Asian dry rub and it was charred on top but the meat at the bottom was tender, moist, and flavorful. I thought it was going to be boneless but it was actually three ribs together. I honestly think I like them over the spare ribs. My brisket was cooked and seasoned good, it was a little dry but I didn't mind because it wasn't pink. I like smoked food but it's almost like people rely on it too much and forget about grilling it. My food tasted more grilled and I appreciated that. Ohhhhhhh lastly my sides were Macaroni and cheese and the grits. The mac (not southern)was good it has white cheese but really moist and something about the taste reminds me of like a pasta salad (could be the seasoning) but it was good and creamy. Those grits though were something special I really wish I had picked it for both sides and have a side order because my tummy was so happy eating them it's definitely cheesy from top to bottom, each bite had a good cheese pull. The balance of flavor was really good and the grits itself was cooked perfectly not hard and grainy. This is my second time ordering them and I will again very soon but maybe just the pimento cheese wontons, char siu ribs and grits. I ordered a Chocolate Chip Cookie but didn't get it that's why I gave 4 stars. I need these restaurants to enforce checking the orders because the I hate complaining but y'all charge too much to lack in anything especially if I can't get ALLLLLL my money back.

Pork Plate: grest value, portions are good size: pork was very tender & great taste, not a fan of their Bar-b-que sauce ( too sweet & smokey), we ordered 2 pork plates (1 with pear slaw & Brunswick stew and the 2nd with green beans & Brunswick stew, this had baked beans NO Brunswick stew.)
Cake Slice: Red velvet, GREAT. large slice
Smoked Beans: good flavor but too much large pieces of meat
Cheddar Grits: Great, smooth and flavorful
Pear Coleslaw: One of the best slaws I have had. Just enough sweetness to offset the smoky of meat & stew
Brunswick Stew: NOT a fan, way too much large chunks of meat (fatty) and not enough other ingredients. Also taste more like their Bar-b-que sauce 🤪
RECOMMEND,just not a couple of the sides.

This was the second time ordering from Sweet Auburn, the first time was great. This time not so much. Pork Plate pork was chopped NOT pulled. It was greasy, full of fat, cold, and did not taste fresh. Also the side of green beans were so oily they could not be eaten and pear coleslaw was ordered but received regular coleslaw which was not good.Side ToastSide Toast cold, chewed
Cheddar Grits the only good part if the order
Very disappointed, expected same quality as the first time, with this level of inconsistent food I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. Waste of money.

It's not worth the money. Smoked wings had no taste. Ribs and Brisket nailed the tenderness and presentation but lacked on taste. Overall bland. The sides can't even make up for it. How do you make a tasteless slaw?
