Takumi is the BEST sushi restaurant in the Middletown area. Not only are the prices good, but every time I've been here has been exceptional. Fresh and flavorful for the best price around!

Christmas roll is the best thing ever! I have a gluten allergy and they always know how to accommodate. The food always tastes fresh and I'm always satisfied with the portion size. They're fast, and the staff is wonderful. This is my go to place!

Red bean ice cream was amazing! Tofu Teriyaki, however, was not. It was seared/fried to get a crispness in the tofu, but it was soggy and limp and had no color, no crisp, and no flavor, and the no flavor would have been fine if not for the fact that the teriyaki sauce was weirdly sweet, I wish it was spicy. The food was cold, lacked flavor, and oil from whatever they fried it in was dripping from the container. So ice cream is a yes, teriyaki is a no. Maybe it was just because I got tofu. As a vegetarian, it's understandable that tofu won't taste like meat, but I wish it tasted like.. something? Also way too expensive for the lack-luster experience.

I ordered take out and it was packages with hot soup on top of 5 different sushi rolls. All of the rolls tasted the same-Overloaded with rice and fried crusted toppings. The top sauces bled into each other from the hot soup on top. 5 specialty rolls with hardly any ginger. Did not come with chopsticks. I had to specify on door dash specifically apparently. Although I had to specify condiments and they included soy sauce that I didn't ask for .. so it makes perfect sense. What a waste of $100+
