I got the Tuesday & Thursday: Chicken Stew and a Jambalaya Dinner because I was indecisive. Both of the plates were phenomenal. THIS is authentic Louisiana food. Portions were huge. I have more than enough to bring for lunch tomorrow at work.

Usually everything is great from here. I tried to order last night but they were out of Pastalaya, to be fair it was 7:42 and 7:45 was the order cut off time. Needless to say, we were looking forward to our Shoppe Combos. As usual, I ordered a 2 Shoppe Combo's and it's enough to feed 4 adults (me, my husband, my elderly mother and mentally challenged niece); I'm guessing it's a new cook, nothing tastes the same: the gumbo taste like water and cayenne, and rice was definitely old, usually my favorite but I couldn't eat it; the jambalaya tastes ok but chicken was scarce and very dry, took the chicken & sausage from the gumbo to added to the jambalaya ; my husband said his Pastalaya tasted fine. I had him try my food as well just to make sure it wasn't my taste buds and he agreed there's got to be a different cook. I used to brag and rave about this place but I will not be anymore. The food has gone done in the last few years. Seasoning has become less and less and now nothing taste edible. Whatever changes y'all made change them back, PLEASE! It tastes as if someone from up north is the new cook!!!

Usually the jambalaya and Pastalaya have plentiful chicken & sausage, this time there was hardly any chicken in the chicken stew, like I could count the tiny pieces on one hand and the jambalaya bowl, hardly had any chicken or sausage either, very unusual for this restaurant.

shrimp Wednesday Shrimp Stew (Wednesday Only) was the bomb!so delicious, thecirn cooked to perfect, the potato salad was cool and refreshing. the roll wasso soft and yummy
