"This is what the Chirashi looks like when u get it in store. I was actually very surprised when it came to me at home because I have ordered from several sushi places on DoorDash. They all skimp out on some aspect or mess up the order. I was very impressed with this order from Kansai. The piece sizes were generous and thick. The tuna was a little bit small but the salmon seemed to be a little bit larger and thicker to compensate. As a regular at Kansai, their doordashing does not dissapoint either. "

"I've gone here since college, maybe nine years ago. It was the first sushi burrito I ever had and the one I always compare new ones to - yet they never hold a candle to sushi secrets. They get the rice just right and stuff your burrito nice and full! "
"So I really love this place as the food has always been consistent and good. However this is the first time I ordered and they cheated on it. I got the burrito with 3 proteins. I didn't realize until I had eaten most of it is why there is no picture or I would have. The crab was throughout the entire burrito however the spicy tuna was only at the very ends with none in the middle so basically 2/3 of it didn't have it. Then the salmon the third protein was only in part of the middle but not on the ends at all so again 2/3 didn't have it. It should be the same throughout but since it is a wrap it is easy to get away with shorting an order to save money because you cannot see it consistently through out without destroying your lunch. I am very disappointed because I have order from here so many times and this is the first time this has happened. For the amount you pay this shouldn't happen I do understand rising costs on everything but don't do it like this to a customer. The burritos have already gotten smaller from when I first started ordering but now this. I am willing to order again in hopes this doesn't happen but if it happens one more time I am done with this place. Even if the taste is really good and has been fresh each time."

"I am obsessed with Asaka. I just ordered from them a few days ago and was already ready for another round. I think this is some of the best "hole in the wall" sushi spots in the East Bay. My husbands face lit up when he took his first bite of the 38. Sushi Pizza Roll. The fish is very fresh and it has a beautiful presentation. Asaka is definitely our new go to spot. The (D) Gyudon (Spicy ver. available) was pretty good, but I wouldn't come here just for that. Especially for the price. We felt it needed a little umami topping so we added some furikake at home. An egg would have worked here too.

The best order (in my opinion): half sushi rice and half mixed greens, spicy tuna and salmon, all the toppings that you can get for free, and a mix of the black unagi sauce and the siracha aioli. It won't disappoint. Don't bother with the sushi burritos, other restaurants have as much better ones.
However, they are pretty bad about getting your order details wrong (accidentally not adding ingredients, etc.) its also pretty over priced for what it is. But it's healthy and
yummy so I still come back for more at the end of the day ."

I would expect sauce that was spicy to be labeled as spicy in the description. The Lion King Roll🦁 狮子王卷 also was unexpectedly spicy. It makes sense that they use the less fresh seafood in their cooked rolls with flavorful sauces- so the lack of freshness is less noticeable.
The rolls were mushy and difficult to eat with chopsticks without them falling apart. Each roll comes with ginger and wasabi packaged with the roll, not in separate containers, so if you don't like either of those flavors, you might have to skip one or two of the pieces from each container. The rolls are decently sized, too bad I don't care for the taste. Will not order again."
