The chicken fried steak itself was cooked perfectly, not chewy at all! The gravy was thick and well seasoned. It was smaller than most chicken fried steaks and also more expensive (at least on DoorDash) than other comparable door dash CFS.
The mashed potatoes have an odd look, texture and taste. Of course it's all personal preference I just wasn't a fan. They were gritty, and tasted freezer burnt (that's the only way I can describe it, I'm sure they weren't actually freezer burnt).
The okra was okay, it was more of an okra rock since everything was battered together and stuck during cooking, made for a soggy and inconsistent fry."

"I just wanna start off by saying kudos to this place because not only was it my FIRST time eating here but it was my first time ordering out through DoorDash!! The Chicken Fried Steak Plate 9/10. The steak was a nice portion, and had a great taste. The mash potatoes and broccoli were sooooo good!! However, I did ask for Italian Dressing for my salad but got ranch (which is the reason I rated 4 stars because I really wanted the salad :/ since it came with the plate) also I forgot to say no tomatoes but they do put a nice sized tomato on the salad for the tomato lovers (however in the picture I took the tomato off). Catfish Platter was advertised with choice of potato, and came with beans and coleslaw & 2 hush puppies. I chose a baked potato expecting it to have been baked today. Silly me - it arrived at least a day old (or more) in the baking process and actually wasn't even fully baked. hush puppies were burnt, no coleslaw, and the beans (advertisted as pintos - not sure, but I've never seen pintos that small). The one item saving this dish was again the catfish. Ample portion, (small tater sauce) but thank goodness for the catfish! I willl order again (just not the platter) and will chalk this up to the cook having a bad day.
