I got the Mama's Meat Loaf everything is full of flavor and cooked perfectly, fresh and perfect portions, and it even comes with a free side of cornbread. For my two sides I got the potato salad(potatoes cooked perfectly) and the collard greens. the cornbread has like a honey butter on it, so delicious . I’m a New York native, so I’ve had plenty of experiences eating phenomenal oxtails over the years. These were easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Tender, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
My only small qualm was the mac and cheese. It had a bit too much MSG for my taste. I’m sensitive to MSG, so the flavor came through pretty strong for me. I ended up pairing it with the yams to balance it out and that actually worked really well.
Now the cornbread deserves its own moment. It was delicious and honestly reminded me of my mother’s cornbread. I was literally sitting in my bed eating it before I fell asleep lol.
I also want to say thank you for bringing authentic soul food to this area. I live in Alamance County and there is truly no soul food to be found here. There’s plenty of southern style food, but real soul food is almost nonexistent.

I used to get 5 shrimp with my orders before, now I get 4? There used to be a lot of beef so I didn't mind. Now there isn't as much beef, it's mostly rice? I am paying for a bowl of rice. There isn't as much liquid flavors either? It's more dry. I don't know who is managing it, but there is definitely a difference. I miss Benjamin. I am not ordering it as much now.
