"I usually get good quality and service here but this time I did not. Pickup order, just a simple meat sandwich with mayo and pesto. I don't know if the preparer thought it would be funny but they added WAY too much pesto (I'm talking 1/4+ inches thick) to the sandwich. Not only was it super thick, it also pushed out the sides and was all over outer bread and wrapper making it very difficult to eat, not to mention having to scrape a ton of pesto off to make it edible. Considering the cost of food today this was not funny. I will go there again but will definitely ask to talk the manager about this situation."

2-20-24: Decided to order from a different sandwich spot other than my usual place (Mr Pickles). I decided on Erik’s Deli Cafe which is close proximity to Mr Pickles. They are different in some ways but similar in other ways. Just like Mr Pickles, Erik’s Deli Cafe also offers a 20% discount on their order. Today I ordered the Square Meal combo which comes with a full sandwich and a cup of soup. In addition I ordered the Potato Salad, Bag of chips, and can of Coke. Total with a $5.00 discount was $37.14 definitely higher price than Mr Pickles
The Pilgrim: Appearance looks good and prepared with care and not sloppily made. Ingredients were portioned just right not too much and not stingy with ingredients. The bread was swirl rye bread and it was nice and soft and fresh, held up and wasn’t soggy even with all the ingredients placed on it. Taste was very good and would definitely order this particular sandwich again.
Potato Salad: Cost wise it’s a lot more than Mr Pickles and it’s smaller in size {$6.99 vs $3.49} and THE SANDWICH SPOT offers a 1 pint potato salad for only $4.49. The potato salad has nice cut up pieces of potato BUT IT WAS SPOILED! Didn’t eat just tossed in GARBAGE! This was for a regular size as they also offer a Large Size for a few dollars more.

I am used to having it from another place where you can basically cut the steak with your fork. The crust was ok but it was totally bland. I am pretty sure it's just a frozen piece of chicken fried steak that they just fry up when it's ordered. The Country Gravy was the best part. It wasn't all that flavorful either but out of the entire meal it had the most flavor and was decent. The eggs were cooked well and the hashbrowns were undercooked. We ordered a side of Pork Sausage and they were both good at all. I gave one to my dog and he wouldn't even eat it, so that should tell you something. Honestly, if I crave Chicken Fried Steak I have a go to and I will stick with them. The other place is a lot more but it's actually a quality meal. You get what you pay for here. And it's not anything to bring me back to try their breakfast again."

"Excellent flavors and freshness. The portions were huge, definitely had leftovers. The Selam Combo (minchet and alicha tibs firfir) was a favorite as well as the Side Shiro. I ordered extra injera but didn't really need it as the entrees came with a lot. It took a little while for the order to be ready but I can't blame them for that since I ordered five different things for pickup. Everything was fresh and hot so I'm glad they took their time. Packaged really well, no mess, and the guys were really nice when I picked up. Would absolutely order again."
