Ferrell's Donuts are BY FAR my favorite donuts in Santa Cruz County - period. And I just moved here and happen to live down the street! The GLAZED DONUT are LIFE!!! are basically glazed filled donuts - they are HUGE. My favorite are the CUSTARD and RASBERRY. So that's your starting point.

"Sausage, Egg, Cheese & Jalapeño Ham, Cheese & Jalapeño, the stuffed croissants left a little to be desired (don't get me wrong, the croissant part was buttery and delicious) the filling was just so-so. BUT all the donuts were perfect 😋 exactly what my family and I wanted! They even threw in a few donut holes (also delicious)!! Very prompt delivery and they even left a sweet note on the box! love love love Ferrell's 9/10 would recommend!! My daughter and I order at least once every time we come to Santa Cruz 🥰"

"Hmm I have heard people rave about their sandwiches here for decades. Idk. The tri-tip was warm and it was just ok. Trying the turkey for dinner and it has an odd taste. Not much avocado. The turkey has an odd flavor. I believe it is supposed to have the carrots which I was looking forward to and they are not here. Then, this was the worst apple fritter I ever had. Dry, not much flavor and few apples. I rarely eat donuts but when I do it's this type which are usually very sweet and rich. This really didn't taste like much and did not feel fresh. Big disappointment. "

"The Kitchen Sink was overflowing with crispy bacon and avocados, which I loved! The plain bagel was good (they must have been out of the everything bagel because this was my backup). I especially appreciate that the bagels are made in-house.
My latte was supposed to be pumpkin spice but it does not taste as if any flavorings were added. But it is a good, albeit plain, latte nonetheless.
Now for the not so good part: I appreciate that you have an opportunity to remove items (like chorizo ,green onions, whatever). I would have liked to have removed the jalapenos from the order. (but to be clear, it only took me 30 seconds to disassemble the bagel, and remove the hardy serving of jalapenos). I don't like the taste at all, so I could totally notice the residual flavor that got into the cream cheese. (also, I could have missed"remove jalapenos"from the customization options).

"We had several breakfast sandwiches from FireFly and let me tell you each one was a work of art. I was in the shop when the food was being prepared and the chef was very meticulous in making each sandwich. It's was almost like he was making each one of them for himself. Work of art. I got the Rockfish Burrito and it was huge (yay!) but it was almost entirely beans and rice. The fish was barely noticable, not big chunks like the photo but small flakey pieces and it was very dry and chewy. I ate about 1/4 of the burrito thinking they had sent me just a bean and cheese because I didn't taste any fish or pineapple. There was almost no flavor to the burrito at all and the tortilla fell apart. The Onion Rings were also huge in potion but it was all one giant greasy onion blob. Not really rings at all and a little burnt. Again, nothing like the photo, not even the same kind of batter. Really disappointing and expensive for the low quality food I received."
