"I am beyond frustrated with the order that I got from Village Inn. I ordered a double-decker sandwich with French fries and a Cobb salad through DoorDash, and what I received was completely unacceptable.
The sandwich bread was burnt, and the French fries were practically nonexistent. I counted maybe seven fries total, yet I was charged for a full order. The fries honestly looked like someone had already eaten most of them and sent the leftovers anyway.
The Cobb salad was a complete disaster and didn’t come anywhere close to what it’s supposed to be. It was missing chicken and eggs, the lettuce was old and wilted, and the tomatoes were spoiled. This was not just careless — it was flat-out inedible.
To make matters worse, when I called the store and spoke with the assistant manager, he told me he “checked on my order” and that everything should have been included. That makes this even more insulting. If the order was actually checked, how did no one notice that the salad was missing major ingredients, made with old produce, and that the sandwich bread was burnt and the fries were barely there?
I am appalled at how far customer service and food quality have declined. We are paying more than ever for food, delivery fees, and service, yet somehow receiving burnt food, missing items, spoiled ingredients, and half portions is considered acceptable. This experience was beyond disappointing, and I will seriously think twice before ordering again.
And yes, that is the salad in my trash because it was so bad and uneatable!"

"We had Root Down delivered via DoorDash. My son who typically doesn't care for sweet potato fries said these were the best he's ever had. He loved the Colorado Lamb Burger Sliders and Kids Mac And Cheese, too. I can't eat gluten, and it was very easy to order - plenty of options, and easy to designate GF when ordering. I started with the Poblano Zucchini Curry Soup, and it was excellent, perfectly spiced. Love the floating pepitas and cotija. I'm a long time fan of the Roasted Baby Beet Salad and was not disappointed tonight. It's always delicious, with the toasted hazelnuts and goat cheese, and it's a generous portion. We have desserts saved for later, but sneaking a peak at the Banana Cream Pie and Root Down Candy Bar, I can compliment the lovely presentation. We can't wait to dig in later. "
