My 100% Afghani partner who came to the states from Afghanistan back in 2022 was at a truck stop resting in between trips and he was in the mood for Real Authentic Afghanistan food just like home.
The Kabuli pulao was excellent, he said the meat was fresh. This satisfied him and was authentic and approved.
(If you're new to Afghani food, your first try should always be the Kabuli Pulao, as that is Afghanistans national dish!)
The Naan was also perfect, he said it was "really good naan" - another approval!
Now he didn't order anything else, so we don't know how the rest of the food tastes, but if they got the Kabuli Pulao right then it deserves a 5 star rating !

The liver and shakshuka are beyond delicious!!! It’s impossible to stop eating you get really full but keep telling yourself, “just one more bite,” and then another... until you become over stuffed reaching a point all what you can do is lie down, close your eyes and have a big smile hhhh! They’re on a whole different level yumminess!
The foul also was good, and the hummus was tasty too, but I didn’t really enjoy the meat topping it had a meaty oily smell that wasn’t for me.
But once again, the stars of the meal were the Kibda (Liver) and the Shakshooka Scramble I’ve had them many times at the restaurant and I didn’t expect them to arrive this good as delivery -considering we don’t live close. But they were just as perfect as eating them at the restaurant & even better as this time I could go straight to the only thing you truly need after a meal like this,, lying down and fully embracing the food coma :)!!

"This is the real deal. This is kibbeh like my daddy used to make at home. .No other place in Houston does it like this. It's authentic. Brings back some happy childhood memories from long ago. The owners are so nice. They were out of the frozen half pan that I was trying to order, and they called me to tell me that they had 3 triangles left in the freezer, so we changed my order so I could get my Kibbeh! So delicious. The triangles are huge too. "LAVA PASTA does not come with shrimp like the description says, apparently since i received none... but the flavor of just the pasta is amazing, but very spicy, which i dont mind, but some may. the Greek Salad was put into the same bag as the pasta, so it was a bit wilted by the time it arrived. the dressing is basically just oil and vinegar and they added cilantro to the salad, which i thought was an odd choice, but it was ok. Pasta bread was good and very nice price. the Tiramisu Cake had berries and chocolate syrup which strays from tradition, but the cake itself was actually very very good. all in all, it was a quite delectable meal that i would order again, although i would add shrimp to the pasta next time."
