"I really wanted to love this order. The warm bread to start was a nice touch, and the truffle mashed potatoes were solid. Unfortunately, the filet mignon itself let it down — it was riddled with tough silverskin and gristle running through the meat, the kind of connective tissue that should be trimmed before cooking, and it was difficult to cut through. I’ve ordered filets from other restaurants on DoorDash and this was below what I’d hoped for given the cut.
The black peppercorn sauce also had a slightly off taste, though that bothered me less than the filet. The sides were genuinely good, so I’d consider ordering again — just not the filet.
