"I really enjoyed the GYROS CHICAGO STYLE from here. Meat wasn't greasy or dripping. Portion size was good too! The pita was good. I appreciate them using red onions instead of white onions. Tomatoes were fresh too. Feta and tzatziki was good quality and very good. "
"It's sad to give this restaurant such a low rating as we have eaten so many times over the years, I even proposed to my wife after dinner here. But when you order a Baked Chicken which is advertised as a half chicken, you expect at least half a chicken. The chicken was missing the wing and the leg and appeared to have been processed down to having no bones as well, this definitely hurt the flavor the predominant flavor was salt BTW. My wife order the Seafood Medley which is advertised as being made with balsamic and onion, instead it came with a tomato and caper sauce which while not bad, was not what was ordered. Additionally, the shrimp were severely overcooked and the calamari was as well. Credit where it is due tho, the octopus was still perfectly cooked. Again we love this restaurant and plan to continue ordering, at least for the time being. We can only hope whatever corner cutting is happening due to the economic issues will subside. The food has always been excellent, not today"

"I've ordered from here countless times, both in person and delivery, and the food is always amazing! I've ordered almost everything here but my favorite is the chicken bowl and the greek fries which are SO GOOD!! Portions are filling and the quality of the food is great! One of my favorite recommendations for greek food in Chicago!"

"Honestly, it was the bomb. Not to mantion the buy one get one free plate, the seasoning was perfect, chicken was very tasty, rice was so well seasoned. Pita was soft and fresh. We will be returning for sure."
"The Seasoned Fries were exceptional. Excellent flavor and very crisp, even after being in the packaging for 25 minutes during delivery. Honestly, some of the best fries I've had. The Build-a-Gyro was ok but not the best I've had. It was a bit overpriced for the size, and the meat was ok but didn't stand out. It also had more sauce than it needed and got soggy to the point that the pita couldn't hold together by the end. I would probably order again because the fries were that good, but there are better gyros out there for the price."

"I've never had a bad meal here. Everything always appears to be fresh and flavorful. The tzatziki is creamy, garlicky and served with soft pita. Saganaki is perfectly crisp and cheesy. Try the pasticcio! Or the lamb chops.. cannot go wrong. Huge Greek salad, great dressing. Excellent meatballs"

"Exceptional taste, careful preparation and packaging. Babaganu is simply outstanding get the large size. My family is crazy over it. Truly exceptional. Meat is High quality and it's a very large portion, it's 3 meals for me (I get a side order if lentil soup. Yum! So happy this place exists"
"Never disappoints! The quality and careful preparation means no fat or gristle on the meat. Flavorful, delicious and huge portions. It's many meals for me. They make each order individually and the driver comes fast.
We love the lentil soup, the salad, the gyros is one of the very best I have had. Honestly we order everything on the menu and like everything so much. It's nice to get tahini and Greek sauce -they have garlic too. You need to call the shop and ask for it-they don't forget to put it in. Oh also we LOVE the mint/lemon and mango drinks. So refreshing and clean tasting. Bravo you guys!! Thanks so much. It's so nice to feel you are getting a great value."

"It was great. My family is super picky and my nephews have a lot of allergies. Everything was delicious and fast. Wow!
We ordered the mousaka, beef skewers, 2 chicken skewers, hummus, pita, 2 octopus, fried calamari, zucchini chips and salted cod. Every thing was packed and hot. Everything was well seasoned. Octopus stayed tender."
"We are Greek family and when in town we always go to Athena's..the quality of the food went down immensely. Saganashkee, even though I was only two blocks away was ice cold. The avgolemono had almost no rice and a single Athenian salad . I paid to have pepperonis. did not come with any or any bread. The salad dressing was clearly not mixed. It was all oil and the salad itself was soaking wet in water."

"The food was very good but I wouldn't order again becuase the portion sizes were off and everything seemed small. The salad. The hummos. Felt like portion sizers shrunk on the carryout. My wife and I spent $160."
"The onion dip is actually disgusting. It's very sweet imagine onions and sugar… Pretty much inedible. The hot honey halloumi is the size of one slice of cheese and quite expensive and chewy like rubber. The portions are incredibly small… They need to do better. The food is just gross."

"Food was amazing, flavor, portions, freshness and value. Chicken was perfectly seasoned and sauce was great and just enough. This will become my new food favorite for day and late nights. Thanks and yesss I will be ordering again soon."
"Overall, the food was great. The highlight though was the thick, juicy gyro meat in the platter! At other places its fried out and doesnt have flavor, this was awesome! The other accompaniments - chicken, rice, hummus, salad were great with it. My only critique is that the hummus could have more flavor - tasted a little bland. Get the extra Pita, it's worth it. "

"At $64 it would be satisfying to enjoy a piece of pita/bread with my Quart Avgolemono Soup or Greek Salad, feta is creamy and delicious. The Chicken Souvlaki comes with ONE piece of pita cut in half. This place is better than the best in Greek Town, but quite stingy. "

"This is SUCH a bang for your buck! 😂 I can never finish it all, and that’s saying something because I’m low-key greedy lol. One order will easily get me two meals. The portions are generous, everything is fresh and hot, and in this economy? I APPRECIATE THAT! I stumbled across them by accident, and guys, I’m so glad I did!"
"Chicken over rice was 🔥🔥
The rice alone is next level — you can taste the difference between the spicy rice and the yellow rice, both full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The chicken was juicy, seasoned right, and stacked heavy on the platter.
But the real highlight… that white sauce and hot sauce. Honestly addictive. The combo just hits different.
Portion was big, everything was fresh, and it actually felt like real halal street food done right. Definitely ordering again."

"Love, love, love Andros. Lamb chops and soup are to die for; tasty chicken; freshest salad in the city - generous portion, with herbs and less salty feta. Greek island quality!

"all of the food we bought, the Falafel Wrap and the Chicken Shawarma Plate were so incredibly flavorful! not a single bland bite. we couldn't stop eating. the veggies in the salad were incredibly fresh and crisp. 10/10 we will order again. the hummus was so smooth and flavored perfectly. the chickpeas are perfectly balanced with with the brightness of the lime juice; and the chickpeas on top are cooked so nicely. the rice wasn't dry or bland, the pickles and onions are complimentary and not too strong and def don't overpower anything. the portion sizes are actually good for the price. the Shawarma plate can be stretched out for a couple days, very filling. the Baklava was perfectly sweet and everything i wanted it to be. i will be recommending this to others."

"The grilled catfish was *amazing*. Huge portion, well seasoned, and very well prepared. The wings, also grilled, had the most delicious flavor and char. The shish kabob was delicious! Lean and beautifully seasoned. Better than the kefta kabob at Sarra's Grill's nearby rival - a Skokie mainstay. The lentil soup was perfect and hearty, and the couscous was moist and perfect. Zero over-salting. I called the restaurant with questions, and the woman I spoke with was incredibly helpful and kind. The food was prepared on time, the restaurant was warm and inviting at pick-up, and when I called them a second time after we ate to compliment every aspect of the meal and to welcome the restaurant to Skokie, both the woman and I were delighted. Don't miss this one. It's already replaced a spot on my mental list of favorite staples. Enjoy!! "

"An amazing sandwich, but the dessert was the real star."
"I wouldn't order here again. the only thing that was good was the rice, and it was plain white rice. portion of each item was fine, but the Chicken Shish Kebab ( 7pcs) was rubbery, the Slavic Shawarma Mix and Hummus was bland. Maybe we had it on a bad day, but for everything being almost 80dollars was very disappointing and not worth the price."
