Dave's has added its own unique touch to traditional hot chicken, using what seems to be a wet dredge with powdered spices instead of traditional nashville hot chicken which is dunked in a wet hot sauce. Dave's #3: 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries is really quite good for the money. i wasn't expecting the chicken strip to be pounded so thin, but the flavor and heat is definitely balanced. i went with mild strips and a medium sandwich. i could definitely tell the difference between the two heat levels, but the balance between heat and flavor has been nailed perfectly. the pickles are very unique tasting and are my new favorite pickles. the fries have a very good coating and the dipping sauce is ok, it could use more seasoning though and less mayo."
